Journey in Detail

Tau Pan, Central Kalahari - 2 nights
Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be met by your pilot who will fly you to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve for a two night stay at Tau Pan. Eight desert tents and a main area overlooking a permanent waterhole make up this setting for a unique experience. Well known for its fantastic characteristics that include an abundance of bird and wildlife migrations, sprouting sweet grasses and dramatic thunderstorms during the wet season, the Central Kalahari Game reserve is and all year round experience. Springbok, gemsbok, hartebeest are amongst less spread antelope that are found in this area and predators include the black mane lions and the rare brown hyena. Other species such as the famous black-mane Kalahari lion, cheetah and bat eared fox are also present in the area.

Kwara Camp, Okavango Delta - 2 nights
After a seemingly short experience because of the vastness of the desert you will be transferred by light aircraft to the Okavango Delta on a private concession. Kwara Camp is situated in a treed island on the edge of the permanent waters providing an all year round Okavango experience with its combination of activities that include mokoro trips (dug -out canoes), motor boat, fishing, day and night game drives as well as bush walks., Kwara has 8 tents that are set under a shady tree island overlooking the surrounding mosaic of treed islands, lagoons, channels and grasslands and these view can be enjoyed from a private deck.

Lebala Camp, Linyanti System, Northern Botswana - 2 nights

This morning, you will leave the Okavango Delta by light aircraft for Lebala Camp located in the Linyanti where you will stay for two nights. The camp lies on the shady banks of the Kwando River among tall and ancient ebony and marula trees and under the watchful gaze of the resident pod of hippos. Lebala Camp accommodates only 16 guests in luxury safari-style tents. Morning and night game drives are conducted by knowledgeable guides and trackers in open safari vehicles. This area is home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. There are few places in Africa where such concentrated numbers of these animals exist, especially in the dry season.

Tongabezi Lodge, Livingstone, Zambia - 2 nights

After you stay at Lebala you will be flown by light aircraft and then driven to Livingstone, Zambia. Voted amongst Africa’s finest romantic hideaways and situated on the banks of the Zambezi, Tongabezi Lodge provides an exclusive ambience and ideal location to access the activities in the Victoria Falls/Livingstone area. Canoeing, boating, fishing, trips to the local Livingstone Museum, a candlelit dinner and an introduction to Simonga Village are all included in the price of your stay. Trips to the unimaginable Livingstone Island and to the famous Zimbabwean or Zambian side of the Victoria Falls can be taken from here at extra cost. Bungee jumping, white-water rafting, elephant back safaris and flights over the Falls are also amongst the optional activities.
